Mondays, Back Care Yoga from 10:30-11:30 am at the YWCA of Asheville

Tuesdays, Yoga I from 9:00-9:55 am at the Cliffs at Walnut Cove

Tuesdays, Yoga I-II from 6:30-7:30 pm at the YWCA of Asheville

Thursdays, Yoga I-II from 9:00-10:30 am at the Cliffs at Walnut Cove

Thursdays, Yoga I-II from 6:00-7:30 at WellSpring Wellness Center

Fridays, All Levels from 12:00-1:00 pm at WellSpring Wellness Center

 
 

Alignment, Level I-II

Thursdays, 6:00-7:30 pm

This class is geared for students with some experience and are developing a consistent, self-directed practice. Classes at this level deepen and expand the study of standing postures, forward folds, backbends, inversions, pranayama, and the way yogic philosophy affects our lives. Students are encouraged to find their physical edge and cultivate a sense of self-awareness.

Alignment, All Levels

Fridays, 12:00 - 1:00 pm

This “All Levels” class is appropriate for students who have taken at least six Level 1 or beginner yoga classes. A well rounded sequence of poses is taught, ranging from standing poses, twists, chest openers, back bends, and inversions. Teachers demonstrate most of the poses and offer variations to safely match the abilities of students.

 

Yoga I

Tuesdays, 6:30 - 7:30 pm

This class perfect for students with limited yoga experience, who are new to alignment-based yoga, or who want a refresher class. Basic poses are taught to build strength as well as flexibility. The class includes a range of standing postures, simple twists, chest openers, and supported inversions. Progressions are offered depending on a student’s experience and ability.

Back Care Yoga

Mondays, 10:30 - 11:30 am

Learn how to  safely care for and strengthen your back through a sequence of yoga postures specifically designed for back health.  Suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners. Those students recovering from injury or back surgery, please obtain your doctor's approval before beginning this class.

Standing poses, forward folds, back bends, and gentle inversions are taught to build strength as well as flexibility. Progressions, modifications, and adjustments are offered depending on a student’s experience and ability.
